Buffalo mass shooting suspect charged with ‘hate crime’ that left 10 dead, 3 hurt

A bloody rampage at Buffalo’s Tops Friendly Markets has claimed ten innocent lives when a “pure evil” white Supremacist stormed into the grocery store carrying a rifle, donning tactical body armor, and targeting Black shoppers Saturday.

Payton Gendron, 18, was charged with first-degree murder hours after he opened fire at 2:30 p.m. hitting thirteen victims, including eleven Black, ten of them to death.

  • The first victim to be named was a retired Buffalo Police officer who worked as a security guard at the doomed grocery store; Aaron Salter Jr. tried to stop Gendron who was protected by his gear and returned fire, gunning the beloved man down.

    “RIP to my cousin Aaron ‘salt man’ Slater Jr. A true hero who risked his life to defend those helpless during a racist attack/ mass shooting,” the victim’s cousin wrote.

    Sheriff John Garcia described the shooter as “pure evil” who perpetrated a “straight-up racially motivated hate crime”.
