Centerville news, Texas news.

Multiple law enforcement agencies in Texas are looking for a murderer who took off from a bus after stabbing the driver on Thursday.

Gonzalo Lopez, 46, fled from the transport bus driven by a corrections officer in a rural county between Gatesville and Huntsville. Authorities are now looking for him off the Leon County interstate.

The inmate “was somehow able to get out of his shackles and get into the driver’s compartment of the bus.”

He “was able to overpower the driver. There was a struggle…the bus went off the roadway,” police said.
