Lancing news, Tennessee news.

A Tennessee man told investigators that he had no other choice but to murder his 92-year-old father who threatened to kill his female caretaker and refused to drop a knife he was holding.

Prosecutors said that Lillard Daniel was shot twice and killed by his son Ted Daniel who was on a visit from Texas during the Thursday incident.

Ted Daniel told detectives that he pleaded with his father to stop and drop the knife warning that he had “been through other caretakers before” and that he will be sent to a nursing home.

The caretaker had filmed the incident showing the argument leading up to the shooting. The district attorney described the video as “useful.”
