Belleview news, Florida news.

Two Florida teens are behind bars facing aggravated manslaughter charges after the death of a friend of theirs as they took turns shooting at each other while wearing body armor.

Belleview Police officers responded to a home in SE 52nd Court last Sunday where 16-year-old Christopher Leroy Broad Jr. sustained a single gunshot wound. Broad died at a nearby hospital shortly afterward.

On Thursday, police arrested Joshua Vining and Colton Whitler, both 17, after evidence linked them to the teen’s death.

“Vining shot at Broad while he was wearing the vest and he was struck.”

Whitler was charged with providing false information to investigators after he reportedly gave misleading information about the incident.
