Colorado mom faces federal drug charges after teen son overdosed on fentanyl-laced pills she sold him for $40

Authorities in Colorado have charged a mother with federal drug offenses n connection with the fatal overdose of her 16-year-old son on fentanyl-laced pills she had sold him.

Maria Davis-Conchie and another suspect were behind the January 31 death of the teen that had along with two other pals collected $40 to buy the pills from her hours earlier.

  • The surviving juveniles told detectives that it was not the first time Davis-Conchie and the other man sold them pills they claimed to be Percocet but were actually fentanyl.

    On the day of his death, the boy was found unresponsive in his bedroom, his body was blue and drug paraphernalia was on the bed. Detectives also found blue pills in his drawer.

    Davis-Conchie blamed the male suspect for her son’s overdose but she was also arrested and charged in federal court with distributing fentanyl resulting in death.
