Authorities in Alabama said that human remains, believed to be missing mom Cassie Carli, were found buried in a barn in St. Clair County late Saturday.
The search for the 37-year-old mom was ongoing since last Monday after her family reported her missing when she did not return home from a scheduled meeting with her ex-boyfriend, Marcus Spanevelo who was arrested Sunday in Tennessee.

Detectives added that the body was found in a shallow grave at a property of Spanevelo who had been in a fierce custody battle with the victim for their daughter Saylor.
“Cassie’s been telling me for the last two years that (Marcus) has been threatening her,” the victim’s brother said.
“She’s always said, if anything happens to me, it’s him.”
