A young woman working as a dogsitter had been viciously mauled by two dogs last December that she nearly died and was for a week on a medically-induced coma.
Jacqueline Durand, then 21, recalled how she was bitten 800 times and saw her skin hanging from her face when the German shepherd and Boxer-Pitbull mix attacked her as she opened the front door.
Bodycam footage of the harrowing incident revealed how the ferocious hounds kept away officers from helping the victim.
Although she said feeling “speechless” after barely escaping death and being revived several times by doctors, Jacqueline added that she can’t “be scared of it.”
“After every meets and greets I had, I always felt the same with those other dogs and they don’t change their attitude from the time that I met them to the time that I go there for the first time.”
She begged dog owners to try to “know their animals and be able to communicate with their sitters how they are.”
