A North Carolina family is mourning the loss of three members who were fatally shot outside the Landfall Center shopping complex on Saturday.
Wilbert Robinson, 40, allegedly parked the vehicle that also carried his mom, Diretta Robinson, 65, his 48-year-old sister Trina Robinson, and his 13-year-old son, before shooting the three of them.
The suspect then shot himself but survived his injuries and was charged with first-degree murder and firing into an occupied vehicle.
“This is a really traumatic event and nobody wants to be remembered by a bad thing that happened,” a victim’s relative said. “I think we should focus on who they were as people.”
“They’re people, you know; they had lives before this incident happened, and instead of looking at what happened, look at who they were, what they did, and how they loved anybody.”
