Pennsylvania teen, 17, charged after causing fiery crash that severely burned him, 3 passengers

Nearly a year after a fiery car crash that severely injured him and his three passengers, a 17-year-old Pennsylvania teen was hit with criminal charges Monday.

Dylan Sturts was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated vehicular assault, and reckless endangerment and will be tried as an adult in connection with the January 30 crash that occurred as he traveled at 138 mph.

Sturts, two teen girls, and a man were rushed to area hospitals in critical condition after sustaining second and third-degree burns as well as other serious injuries.

    One of the teenage girls underwent several injuries after sustaining burns to 56 percent of her body and detectives were not permitted to question her due to her critical condition.

    The two other victims confirmed Sturts was speeding prior to the crash and detailed the horrific moment they were crawling out of the wreck while on fire.
