A South Carolina mom was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime over the shooting death of her 6 years old son.
On November 25 at around 6 p.m., Mary Rosborough was arrested after being subdued by her brother who had rushed to her room after hearing gunshots.
The brother said that Rosborough had been reloading a deer rifle after shooting her son Jace Wise. The mother claimed that she killed the boy to “send him to Heaven.”
The shocking incident occurred during a hunting trip at Rosborough’s parents’ home. It came nearly a month after an overdose incident that saw officers responding to the woman’s home.
Rosborough, according to police reports, was “struggling with drug addiction” but had never hinted at targeting her child.
