Trump says Kyle Rittenhouse, mom visited him at Mar-a-Lago as a ‘fan’

Former President Donald Trump told Sean Hannity late Tuesday that Kyle Rittenhouse had called him and asked to meet him because “he was a fan.”

“Kyle, I got to know him a little bit. He called. He wanted to know if he could come over and say hello because he was a fan, unlike the other guy,” Trump said in the interview.

  • He added that Rittenhouse visited with his mother the President’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The visit came after the 18-year-old was cleared of homicide and attempted homicide charges over the 2020 Kenosha shootings of three protesters.

    “He should never have been put through that,” Trump said of the Rittenhouse trial. “That was prosecutorial misconduct.”
