Norwalk news, California news.

A California toddler is fighting for his life after his foster mother beat him so badly that he went into a coma, the LA County Sheriff’s Department said.

The unidentified 4-year-old is listed in critical condition and had never regained consciousness since the child abuse incident on October 29 at the hands of his foster mother, identified as Gabriela Casarez.

Maria Jacinto, the boy’s biological aunt, told reporters that his birth mom and family were denied visiting him or learning further details about what happened to him.

“They don’t deserve this at all. We’re asking for justice and information,” she said.

Meanwhile, Jacinto and the boy’s family were told they couldn’t see him in the hospital, citing the lack of guardianship.

“What could they have done so badly for you to hurt these kids? We want justice and we want information. We want to know why.”
