As Democrats focused on finalizing President Biden’s plan aiming to invest in social safety and climate policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday that lawmakers “are on the verge of something major – transformative, historic and bigger than anything else.”

Pelosi informed reporters that 90% of the legislation is written following days of negotiations among House, Senate, and White House officials on several outstanding issues.

“Most of that has been negotiated, most of it is ready to go,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said.
