No charges have been filed against two men in connection with the shooting death of a 21-year-old woman who was gunned down with her own weapon amid a robbery early Sunday morning.
Warner Robins Police Department said that Kyndal Reynolds was with 42-year-old Tywana Antoinette Cody trying to rob the two men they had lured into a vehicle at gunpoint when the tragedy occurred.
One of the men tried to grab the firearm from Reynolds and amid a struggle, the weapon discharged, mortally hitting her.
The men then called police, remained at the scene until officers arrived, and cooperated with investigators. Cody was arrested on felony murder and party to a crime of aggravated assault.
“It is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out to all of you today,” a GoFundMe page set up for Reynolds’ funeral reads.
“Kyndal was a wonderful Mother, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend who touched the lives of those around her.”
“We are all devastated by the loss of Kyndal, and we want to assist [victim’s mom] Heather and her family in any way we can and give Kyndal the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.”
