Parents arrested after body of toddler found ‘covered from head to toe with bruises’ in Motel 6 room

The lifeless body of an abused tot was found Sunday in a suburban Detroit motel room and authorities have arrested his parents over the suspicious death.

Isaias Aurelio Porras, 31, and Amanda Jajou, 30, were charged Wednesday with second-degree child abuse and accessory after the crime in connection with Isaias Daniel Porras’ death.

Autopsy results showed the 1-year-old boy was “covered from head to toe with bruises including hematoma to the brain,” prosecutor Amy MacGregor said.

    “The Farmington Hills Police Department and our community are heartbroken over this tragic loss and my thoughts and prayers go out to the child’s family,” Police Chief Jeff King said.

    The attorney representing the homeless couple had entered not guilty pleas on their behalves.
