A close friend of missing Gabby Petito revealed that her fiancé Brian Laundrie seemed calm but had a controlling side and jealousy issues.

“When I saw that Brian was back from the trip, that was the first thing that popped into my mind,” Rose Davis said.

“That Brian had one of his episodes and I was just hoping he didn’t have a snapping moment.”

  • Davis detailed how Gabby would come to stay at her home for several days and talked about Brian’s episodes. She recalled one instance when Brian hid Gabby’s ID to deny her from leaving with her friends.

“Brian took her ID just so she wouldn’t be able to come out with me. He’s got these jealousy issues and he struggles from what Gabby called these ‘episodes’ where he would hear things and hear voices and wouldn’t sleep.”

She concluded: “He had this composure as a sweet, nice, caring guy. But you could tell he’s a little off, a little weird.”

“Brian has a jealousy issue. I’m her only friend in Florida to my knowledge and that’s not because she can’t make friends, he just didn’t want her to have friends.”
