Alabama teen busted after threatening classmates at local high school on Instagram

Enterprise Police announced Thursday that a high school student was busted for making threats against his fellow classmates on his Instagram account.

The boy’s threatening letter widely circulated online early Wednesday and came to authorities’ scrutiny.

Detectives and school officials first learned of the post at around 10:18 a.m.

  • “Enterprise City Schools has been made aware of a letter circulating on social media involving a threat,” the district said on Facebook.

    “All students in our system are safe,” the statement added.

    In a later update, the district said that Enterprise Police sent officers to tighten law enforcement presence in Enterprise High School where the suspect was enrolled.

    Classes were normally held Wednesday as the investigation continued. By the next morning, the juvenile suspect was identified, arrested, and charged with making a terroristic threat.
