A Texas teen has reportedly slaughtered three of his family members and two dogs before turning the gun on himself late on Wednesday.
Arkansas Police were alerted to the gruesome scene by social media users who reported that a juvenile boy had posted pictures of his slain family and pets and was threatening to commit more crimes.
Officers tracked down the family’s RV to San Patricio County at the Arkansas Oaks RV Resort. By the time they arrived, the minor was still alive and refused to comply with their orders and surrender.
Shortly afterward, cops heard a gunshot and entered the RV to find The 15-year-old suspect, William Quince Colburn III, dead next to his parents, William Quince Colburn Jr. and Jana Colburn; aged 63 and 53; and his younger sister Emma, 13.
“Last, but even more importantly, we appreciate the social media website and the other juveniles within the group where the threat was made,” police said.
“Had it not been for their speedy action and continued support, we might well have been working on an even more tragic event later this morning.”
