The grieving mom of a 24-year-old Louisiana woman has now to care for two small grandsons after her daughter’s untimely death from Covid-19 complications.

Keighlie Renee Reaux succumbed Sunday to the deadly virus at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center nearly six weeks after contracting Covid.

“We let our guard down,” mom Amie Reaux said. “We started venturing out. We booked a family vacation. We thought, like the rest of the world, this isn’t that real of a virus.”
