Florida authorities named Gabby Petito’s fiancé a “person of interest” in her disappearance as he keeps refusing to cooperate with law enforcement in the case.

Brian Laundrie is under fire amid accusations he may be involved in his 22-year-old fiancée’s disappearance during a cross-country road trip that started in July.

“Brian Laundrie is a person of interest in this case,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said.

“As a father, I can imagine the pain and suffering Gabby’s family is going through. We are pleading with anyone, including Brian, to share information with us on her whereabouts in the past few weeks.”

The couple had been traveling in Gabby’s white Ford Transit van before she vanished on or around August 25.

Laundrie returned to his North Port home on Sept. 1 and hired an attorney. He had not revealed any details about the case or helped in the search.

“As of now, Brian has not made himself available to be interviewed by investigators or has provided any helpful details,” police said.
