Relative requests welfare check after disturbing phone call; Police find man stabbed dead by wife with 2 children present

John’s Creek Police arrested a woman after she stabbed her husband to death before their two young children’s eyes late Tuesday.

Officers rushed to the 645 Mount Victoria Place home after a tipster asked for a welfare check claiming that somebody there may have been injured according to a frantic phone call they’d received.

At around 11:30 p.m., officers were at the home where the body of 51-year-old William Neil Kennedy lied dead.

  • His wife, Stephanie Ferguson-Levin, was arrested at the scene and charged with felony murder and third-degree cruelty to children.

    The 51-year-old suspect is believed to have stabbed her husband dead with their two children, ages 9 and 11, present at the home.

    Ferguson-Levin is being held at the Fulton County Jail without bond. A motive for the deadly stabbing is being investigated.
