The cold-blooded murderer who gunned down nine Black people inside a Charleston church in 2015 will be put to death after a federal appeals court ruled out his defense request for a death sentence vacation.

Dylann Roof’s attorneys argued that the teen mass –shooter shouldn’t have represented himself in the sentencing phase of his trial that granted him capital punishment.

“He was a high school dropout who believed his sentence didn’t matter because white nationalists would free him from prison after an impending race ware.”

  • The lawyers added that although competency exams confirmed Roof was mentally fit, “every defense expert agreed Roof suffered a delusional belief he would be rescued by the victors of a race war, which prevented him from understanding the threat of execution was real.”

Prosecutors said that a hatred-filled Roof sat among his Black victims for about 45 minutes, waiting for the moment they will close their eyes for the final prayer to start the murder spree.

“Dylann Roof murdered African Americans at their church, during their Bible study and worship. They had welcomed him. He slaughtered them,” the court ruled.
