Authorities in Spartanburg, South Carolina have arrested a DUI suspect who fatally crashed into a vehicle carrying three young girls killing them all early Monday.
43-year-old Melissa Ann Parker was reportedly drunk and driving a stolen 2005 Hummer when she collided head-on into a Kia Sedan at around 2:06 a.m.
The car that was traveling on the correct lane of Interstate 26 carried four people, including three female teens that died on the scene.
The victims were identified as 17-year-old twins Elleana and Isabella Lee Gaddis and their 18-year-old friend Brianna Lynn Foster.
After the deadly crash, Parker fled away from the scene before being arrested and rushed to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
During a Tuesday hearing, prosecutors said that Parker had stolen the Hummer from a gas station before going down the interstate the wrong way.
The girls were “on a beach trip” and less than 10 minutes from reaching their hotel when they collided with Parker’s hummer.
