NYC toddler mauled to death by family’s Rottweiler while left alone with siblings

A New York City toddler was mauled to death by his family’s Rottweiler Tuesday night after being left home alone with young siblings.

The tragic mauling incident occurred at the 300 block of East 17th Street in the Flatbush neighborhood shortly after 10:40 p.m.

A 19-month-old toddler was found “heavily bleeding” with visible bite wounds to his neck and shoulder area. He was declared dead at Maimonides Medical Center.

    Police added that the slain toddler was left with two brothers, ages 9 and 11, at the family apartment as their parents were at work.

    The brothers ran outside and sought help from a passerby who removed the victim out of the dog’s way.

    Reports said that the involved Rottweiler had previously attacked one of the siblings leaving a scar on his leg.
