An Oklahoma teen had turned the gun on himself Saturday after accidentally firing a shot at his mom while handling the weapon.
The incident occurred at a Del City home just after 11 p.m. Officers first discovered a dead boy lying in the street with a gun next to him.

His wound appeared self-inflicted, police said. When they searched his home, they discovered that his 36-year-old mom, Stephanie Jennings, was also shot dead.
Police Major Bradley Rule said that the teen was “handling the firearm when it went off. He ran outside where he shot himself in the head.”
Authorities said that the shot went through the living room wall where the boy was into the kitchen and struck the mom’s head.
