An Indiana mom who had shot and killed her husband requested the help of her young children to remove the victim’s body outside of their home.
34-year-old Thessalonica Allen told police that Randy Allen was trying to choke her on July 27 during a dispute when she shot him dead.
Her two children, under 16 years old, rushed to the bedroom after hearing the gunshot’s loud bang but were ordered to go back to sleep.
Later that same night, the mother came to awaken them and ask for help dragging Randy’s corpse into a car. The children said that the remains were “too heavy.”
The following day, Thessalonica brought an ax and cleaning supplies and chopped up the victim’s body. She again asked the children for help placing the remains in a tote.
The kids told prosecutors that their mom talked about driving the body to South Bend and burning it. They added that the tote bag was still too heavy to load into the car.
Thessalonica’s ex-boyfriend called 911 to report the murder after she asked for his help, showing him the body in her daughter’s closet.
Prosecutors said that Thessalonica and her late husband were arguing over a website she had visited and not because he beat them as she claimed.
