Washington D.C. news, Washington news.

Hours after revealing that a Capitol officer had taken his own life at his home Thursday, Metropolitan Police confirmed that a fourth cop involved with the Jan. 6 events had also committed suicide.

26-year-old Officer Kyle DeFreytag died on July 10 with investigators ruling his death a suicide.

News about DeFreytag's demise came shortly after the MPD had announced that Officer Gunther Hashida, 43, put an end to his life last Thursday.
