Nashville news, Tennessee news.

One person was listed in critical condition after a gunman opened fire at Smile Direct Club in Nashville Tuesday morning leaving three coworkers fighting for life.

Nashville Police later identified the suspect as 22-year-old Antonio D. King. He died at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a confrontation with police.

The Metro Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron said that at around 6 a.m. and during a shift change, King entered the building wielding a Glock semi-automatic pistol and started shooting.

He is believed to have been acting alone, police said, and was later gunned down as he fled the scene.
