An Arkansas mom of three was found dead in an Oklahoma pond 12 days after she vanished with police naming three suspects as perpetrators of the murder.
Tara Strozier, 40, was last seen alive 20 miles away from home in Cameron, Oklahoma on July 17.
Her abandoned black Volkswagen was located a week later in a driveway but with no trace of Strozier.
“Based on the joint investigation, authorities believe Strozier was tortured at an unoccupied mobile home off Neblett Ridge in Cameron before being murdered by the pond near Rock Island,” the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said.
Investigators named three suspects in the case and arrested them in connection with Strozier’s slaying.
Alex Nathaniel Davis, 30, Austin Johnson, 23, and Kaelin Hutchinson, 24, were charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping. They are being held at the LeFlore County Detention Center.
“On July 29, 2021, Davis admitted to killing Strozier while Johnson was present. After she was killed by the pond, they weighed her body down and threw her into the pond.”
