Emotional California dad confronts suspect in ‘Forever Purge’ movie shooting that left woman dead: ‘That was my daughter’

A California father had to be restrained during the initial court hearing of the suspect accused of fatally shooting his daughter in a theater while attending the screening of a horror movie.

“Look at me. Look at me!” a visibly distraught Dave Goodrich yelled at Joseph Jimenez Friday.

“That was my daughter,” Goodrich added before breaking into tears with people holding him back from approaching the 20-year-old suspect.

  • “She’s my baby, my firstborn,” mom Danielle Goodrich said of 18-year-old Rylee who was declared dead at the scene.

    “And she got ripped away doing something so innocent and it breaks my heart.”

    Rylee’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Anthony Barajas, is currently on life support after sustaining severe gunshot wounds.

    “Poor Anthony. They were just starting their relationship. He’s a beautiful boy, and my heart goes out to his family,” the mom added.
