An Alabama man whose infant daughter was fatally shot at a Birmingham apartment this week stands accused of her murder.
The unidentified man was listed as the main suspect in the shooting death of daughter Raylee Allen on Tuesday.
The 11-month-old’s mom is a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy who had since been placed on leave.
Court records revealed that the father was a convicted felon who was previously arrested on drug and paraphernalia possession charges.
“The defendant has been declared the main suspect in the shooting death of an 11-month-old child. Upon interviewing the defendant, he admitted to having a firearm that was located at the scene at that time,” a prosecution motion read.
The suspect’s bond was revoked following the deadly shooting.
