4 people found dead in Cherokee County mobile home; Killer fled in victim’s vehicle

Texas authorities are investigating a quadruple homicide after finding victims believed to be family members dead inside a trailer home Tuesday morning.

Cherokee County Sheriff investigators have yet to identify the four decedents but said that they were two women, a man, and an 18-year-old son of one of the female victims.

The lifeless bodies were discovered at around 8 a.m. inside the New Summerfield property. The 47-year-old man’s body was located in the driveway.

  • The shooter, detectives said, had fled the scene in a red 2017 Dodge Challenger belonging to one of the victims.

    “We don’t have any info about which direction he went from here,” Sheriff Brent Dickson said.

    “We are following up on some leads that have come in. they are leading us toward the Jacksonville area, but that’s not confirmed yet.”

    “I just ask that the community look for the vehicle. He killed four people and we want to get him off the streets. Any time a murderer is on the loose, the public has some sense of danger,” Dickson added.
