Authorities in Houston, Texas are investigating a deadly fire that erupted at an apartment complex last week and claimed the life of a 52-year-old resident.
Reports of a heavy fire emerged Thursday night sending firefighters to the apartment complex at 6110 Fairdale Lane, Mid-west area of the city.
The Houston Fire Department said that flames were coming out from four apartments located on the building’s first and second floors.
One resident was rescued with severe burns determined as of second-and-third degree to the major part of his body.
The injured was brought to the hospital where he remained for three days before he passed away on July 4.
Two involved firefighters were also hospitalized while two others received treatment on the scene.
The Houston Fire Department said it was assisted by the Village Fire Department in response to the deadly fire.
