In a press conference, the Houston Police Department shed more light on a tragic murder-suicide incident that unfolded late Thursday at the Downtown Aquarium.
Police said that at around 8:10 p.m., a gunman walked into a bar and opened fire at a couple who had been having dinner.
The shooter then turned the gun on himself and died at the scene. The male victim was also pronounced dead immediately after the shooting.

A woman was rushed to an area hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds but is expected to survive.
So far, police believe the unidentified suspect and the victims knew each other as the incident seemed targeted.
Witnesses said that there were no interactions between the three people prior to the criminal act.
