Chicago news, Illinois news.

A Chicago suspect who fired at a car carrying undercover cops inflicting serious injuries told detectives upon his arrest that he thought they were “opps.”

Eugene ‘Gen Gen’ McClaurin, 28, spotted an unmarked police patrol at around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday and believed it was the white Chrysler 300 that a friend of his spoke about the previous day.

McClaurin was told that the suspicious car was roaming the area and belonged to a rival gang, which led him to target it.
