Utah man, 75, stands accused of murdering missing postal worker found slain along river

Utah authorities have arrested a 75-year-old Lincoln resident who stands accused of slaughtering a beloved mom and veteran-postal worker found dead.

William O’Reilly’s arrest came after the body of missing Masako Kenley was located along the Jordan River after she went missing Sunday.

Police said that friends and accountancies of the deceased claimed they both worked for the United States Postal Service and “had problems in the past.”

“Coworkers say Masako Kenley and the man arrested in connection to her murder knew each other from work. Some say he was obsessed with her.”

    Police said that crime dogs located Kenley near 8900 S. 700 West in Lincoln.

    “Sometimes we utilize drone technology down there, but the thickness of the brush and trees inhibited them, it just really cut down. Dogs have a great sense of smell and were able to help direct us to Masako,” Lt. Dean Carriger said.

    O’Reilly admitted turning the victim’s phone off and getting rid of her GPS device.

    He was charged with aggravated murder, desecration of a corpse, and obstruction of justice.
