A young woman was fatally struck by a train after she jumped onto the subway tracks to use the bathroom, officials said Tuesday.
The 24-year-old victim was seen jumping on the tracks at about 10:20 p.m. Monday at the 14th St-Union Square stop, likely to relieve herself.

As a Manhattan L train entered the station, the victim tried in vain to return to the platform before getting fatally struck.
She died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
The incident caused a three-hour suspension of the L train service as officers processed the scene.
