Nebraska teen, 15, ‘hunted for people’ when he shot and killed innocent man sitting on porch

Prosecutors in Omaha have released disturbing details about the March murder of an innocent resident sitting on his front porch.

The 15-year-old suspect, according to Prosecutor Natalie Killion, took his dad’s car on March 12 and went to Sioux City, Iowa to meet his friends.

The group of people conspired to go “hunt for people” in north Omaha and exchanged several texts about their heinous plans.

  • The teen then drove back to Omaha where he spotted the unfortunate 59-year-old Larry Thompson and fired at him.

    The victim sustained mortal wounds and passed away at a local hospital. Investigators tracked down the suspect’s car that was registered to his dad.

    Inside the vehicle, they found a disposable glove with the teen’s DNA and ammunition residue.

    The juvenile was a well-known gang member in the area. He was charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and weapons count.
