Additional remains belonging to the same cadaver have been discovered Tuesday morning near West River Parkway, Minneapolis.
Police responded to a call at around 6:44 a.m. and rushed to the scene to find new remains discarded at the intersection of West River Parkway and Franklin Avenue.
Residents have previously been urged to keep their eyes open and report suspicious findings after a search of the area using cadaver dogs did not reveal anything.
The victim was identified as 30-year-old Adam Johnson. His body was not yet showing signs of decomposition when found cut into pieces and abandoned across the city Thursday.
“We don’t know where the body came from,” Spokesman for Minneapolis Police John Elder said. “This body may have been dead before it met its trauma. We don’t know.”
Residents were horrified to see the severed human leg left in plain view on some grass and a bag filled with other remains lying next to a parked car.
“It’s just very shocking, and I think all the neighbors around here would never expect anything like this in the area,” a resident said.
