A Dallas woman is behind bars after she allegedly stabbed her daughter to death and attempted to do the same to her brother’s friend, inflicting serious injuries to the 16-year-old victim.
The stabbing spree occurred early Thursday when Troyshaye Mone Hall grabbed a knife and attacked the teen, stabbing him in the shoulder and back.
The teenage victim was able to escape but the woman rushed to her 7-year-old daughter Madison Petry and stabbed her more than thirty times before a neighbor intervened.
The off-duty Dallas County Sheriff’s deputy handcuffed Hall and rushed the girl to a local fire station then to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have not released a motive for the murder but said that Hall had previously been detained for attacking her boyfriend’s cousin over jealousy.
Hall is being held on a $1.5 million bond facing capital murder and aggravated assault charges.
