Denver news, Colorado news.

A Colorado family is outraged after their newborn baby girl started her life with a deep gash on her left cheek that resulted from a botched C-section Wednesday.

Kyanni Williams suffered a horrific facial wound that needed 13 stitches to be sealed during an emergency C-section surgery at Denver Health, Colorado.

Parents Damarqus and Reazjhana Williams said that they’ve been told the baby was going to be delivered naturally before doctors changed their minds.

“They said our baby made a sudden movement they couldn’t hear her heartbeat or find it and they took her into an immediate C-section,” the father said.

Doctors told the shocked family that Kyanni’s face was too close to the placenta wall.

“I tried to be understanding about what happened, but on top of the fact her face got cut and a plastic surgeon had to come to do it, there’s just a lot of things I’m not understanding with the C-section,” the mom said.

“I’ve never heard of anybody having to deal with their baby’s face looking like this after a C-section.”
