Thurmont news, Maryland news.

The FBI is working to identify skeletal remains of a woman found scattered around a mile from the Presidential Retreat of Camp David in Maryland.

Police were called to the Catoctin Mountain Park on Saturday after hikers spotted a human foot, nearly 100 yards away from the remaining skeletal set.

“It’s sad. It’s disheartening. This person has a story to tell,” FBI Special Agent Richard Ruggieri said. “First, we need to figure out who it is to tell the story.”

Detectives said that the decedent had long, dark hair with braids and was carrying a glittered protective spray as well as other items.
