A Florida toddler is fighting for life after she was shot in the head during a deadly argument that claimed the life of her mom on June 6.
Capucine Carson, a 37-year-old mom of 6, died after being shot 10 times by her husband Toffara Snow, also 37, shortly after midnight.
Neighbors heard the couple arguing then moving outside with Carson telling Snow she would rather live at a hotel than with him.
She grabbed her children and stepped into the car prompting Snow to fire at her. A bullet struck Carson’s 3-year-old daughter Kimbella in the head.
Snow fled to a Big Lots parking lot where he called his mom and confessed to the crime. The mother handed the phone to detectives at the scene.
The suspect reportedly told an officer that “he knew he was going to prison and wanted to turn in the gun he used but also wanted to see his mother first.”
By the time they reached his whereabouts, Snow had shot himself. He died days later at a hospital.
Carson’s brother described her as a “super-duper beautiful spirit” who despite being passive was definitely “determined.”
“A woman who would do and did everything to make sure her kids – EJ, Lamar, McKenzie, Kymoni, Kimbella, and Zion wanted for nothing.”
