The lifeless bodies of a missing Oklahoma couple were found alongside a road under a Washington County bridge, according to police.
Worried relatives of Sheri and Kraig Chambers reported them missing on May 30 after they failed to contact them.
Tulsa County officers who visited Chambers’ residence suspected foul play in their disappearance:
“We discovered physical evidence that they had possible met with foul play,” Sheriff Casey Smith said.
The victims’ 32-year-old cousin, Brock Pavey, who was recently released from jail, was named a person of interest in the case.
He told investigators that he shot Kraig and Sheri dead inside the garage of their property during a heated argument Sunday. He then tossed their bodies separately on the road.
“This is about as bad an outcome as you could get. We have two family members that are deceased, and another family member who has been arrested in connection with their murder,” Smith told reporters.
The couple is survived by a toddler son who was not injured during the incident.
“We have a child without parents. This isn’t the way anybody wanted this to end.”
