Windsor news, Connecticut news.

Connecticut authorities halted a reunion between NAACP officials and employees at an Amazon site in Windsor after the disturbing discovery of yet another noose Wednesday.

The Connecticut warehouse had been closed over the last weekend to implement further security measures when the seventh noose was found on site.

On Wednesday, an eighth noose was discovered under some electrical materials, proving the FBI and police continuous presence in and outside the warehouse ineffective.

  • “Hate, racism, or discrimination have no place in our society and are certainly not tolerated in any Amazon workplace,” the company’s spokesperson Kelly Nantel said.

“We will continue to work with all levels of law enforcement as well as our development partners, to hold the perpetrators accountable and ensure that all members of our community feel valued, respected, and safe.”

But the State NAACP President claimed that Amazon was not taking the racist threats seriously and that the incidents left workers frightened.
