San Antonio news, Texas news.

Four months after he went missing, the remains of baby James Chairez were located under the San Antonio mobile home where he lived with his mom.

Now, 20-year-old D’Lanny Chairez is facing serious charges after the human remains discovered on April 28 were positively identified as her 20-month-old son James.

“It’s a positive test,” relative Mariesol Benavidez-Gomez said on Facebook.

“The results are in and even in my mind I knew it was James, my heart wasn’t ready to let go.”

  • “The remains that were found at the mobile home are James. There is no more information; they can’t tell me anything else. Next, they will continue the autopsy to find out the cause of death and when.”

The relative added that she last saw James on Thanksgiving. Chairez was arrested in March after a search of her home revealed bloodied crib sheets.

She was charged with abandoning and endangering a child but her charges are expected to upgrade.

Sources said that Chairez wanted to give James up to adoption before she disappeared with him last January.
