Virginia authorities have arrested a mother on Monday after she stabbed her two children, killing one, then texted her fiancé about “scene he will come home to.”
The man called the police before reaching the home, telling them she was erratic, and disclosing her text messages to him.
When police arrived, 10-month-old Zell Howard was dead and his 8-year-old sister was fighting for her life after they were both stabbed.
Sarah Ganoe, 35, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, and child neglect.
Detectives were investigating the mom’s motive but it is believed police were called to the couple’s house over domestic violence incidents in the past.
Ganoe’s fiancé is the deceased baby’s father. The 8-year-old girl’s father was notified of the stabbing. She was listed in stable condition.
