Iowa authorities have arrested the driver of a car that was found partially submerged in the East Nishnabotna River with two deceased people inside early Friday.
21-year-old Duane Johnathaon Mickael Stuck was rushed to an area hospital at around 6:15 a.m. following a car crash at an undetermined location.
Iowa State Patrol and Department of Natural Resources launched an aerial search for Mickael’s vehicle that was later found submerged in the lake.
Rescuers found two bodies inside the car, identified as Somia Moore, 29; and Jonathan Lee O’Hearn, 19.
Mickael was charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while impaired, and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
