A targeted shooting at a crowded Wisconsin casino Saturday has left three people killed including the gunman, Brown County Sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Pawlak announced.
Law enforcement flooded the scene at the Oneida Casino over reports of an active shooter inside the packed business due to the running of the Kentucky Derby.
The suspect was looking for a certain person at the casino but when he did not find him, he “decided to still shoot some of the victim’s co-workers or friends, it appears,” Pawlak stated.
Two people were killed and another was seriously injured before police fatally shot the suspect.
“All of a sudden we hear a massive flurry of gunshots – 20 to 30 gunshots for sure,” witness Max Westphal recalled.
Social media videos caught the terrifying moments as patrons ran for their lives into the parking lot amid a heavy police presence.
