The 32-year-old woman who fatally hit an NYPD officer Monday had anti-police sentiments, according to a Facebook live-stream video she posted hours before the crash.
Jessica Beauvais admitted that she drunk vodka and smoked marijuana shortly before her deadly encounter with 43-year-old Anastasios Tsakos who was directing traffic on LI Expressway at around 2 a.m.
Beauvais allegedly swerved her car towards the father-of-2, caved in her windshield, and sent him flying before he landed onto a patch of grass 100 feet away.
“I’m sorry,” Beauvais tearfully told reporters outside the 107th Precinct in Queens, where she was arraigned. “I’m sorry that I hit him and now he’s dead.
She faces two misdemeanor charges including driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
